Scope
Who this policy covers
RPCNA Covenanters, also called Covenanters in the site interface, is a church learning and community application operated for study, group gatherings, moderated collaboration, and supported communicant assessment. This policy applies to rpcnacovenanters.com, the Android app, and the iOS app shell.
Developer and operator: RPCNA Covenanters. Privacy contact: admin@rpcnacovenanters.com.
Stored Data
Information we collect and store
We collect the information needed to run account access, learning progress, community features, live Gatherings rooms, notifications, and Supported Communicant Assessment tools.
Saved Academy progress, study settings, route preferences, country or locale choice, wiki watchlists, and notification preferences.
Wiki edits, proposals, talk-page posts, question submissions, content reports, block lists, moderation outcomes, and audit history needed to keep the shared record accountable.
Room codes, host and participant names, member links when a signed-in member joins, answers, scores, room events, and room state needed for live group play.
Assessment setup notes, AAC or ASL session content, saved report data, reviewer or operator references, and captured response material submitted through the assessment workflow.
Opt-in push subscription endpoints, public keys, authentication secrets, platform type, user agent, APNs device tokens when used in the iOS shell, and notification categories.
Local Device
Information kept on your device
The app and website use cookies and browser storage for signed-in sessions, theme preference, country or locale preference, saved study state, draft Supported CA work, Gatherings room or participant tokens, tutorial flags, and native push tokens. You can clear local browser or app storage from your browser or device settings, though doing so may sign you out or remove local drafts.
Not Collected
Information we do not collect
RPCNA Covenanters does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, tracking SDKs, or data brokers. We do not sell personal data. We do not collect precise location, contacts, financial or payment information, government ID numbers, or advertising identifiers. We do not continuously record camera or microphone input in the background.
Use
How we use information
We use stored information to sign you in, save your progress, operate community and moderation tools, run live Gatherings rooms, send notifications you opt into, provide Supported CA workflows, protect the service from abuse, keep audit records, and maintain the integrity of shared church-study content.
Sharing
Third parties and service providers
We do not share personal data for advertising, marketing, tracking, or resale. Information may be processed by infrastructure providers that help run the site, database, email, or push notifications. If an administrator enables Supported CA OpenAI report generation, the assessment content needed for that request may be sent to OpenAI for processing. We may also disclose information when required for legal, security, or abuse-prevention reasons.
Camera
Camera, microphone, and media access
Camera or microphone access is used only when you choose features that need it, such as the Supported CA ASL workflow. Your browser or operating system asks permission before access begins. The app does not use camera or microphone access for advertising, tracking, or background recording.
Security
How we protect information
Traffic is served over HTTPS with HSTS. Passwords are stored as scrypt hashes with per-user salts. Sessions use signed cookies. Administrative access is role-limited, and the Supported CA OpenAI key setting is stored in an encrypted form. No online service can promise perfect security, but the app is designed to limit access to the data needed for each feature.
Deletion
Account deletion and retention
You can delete your account in Community Settings, or request deletion by email if you cannot sign in. Email deletion requests are verified against the account email and completed within 30 days. Account records, email address, names, saved progress, password reset records, push subscriptions, watchlists, and your own notifications are removed. Some shared records are retained with your name replaced by "Departed Member" so wiki history, moderation records, Gatherings history, Supported CA records, and audit trails remain understandable without identifying you. The last remaining administrator account cannot delete itself until another administrator exists.
Youth
Children and supervised use
RPCNA Covenanters is not directed to children under 13. Youth use in church, class, or family settings should be supervised by a parent, guardian, teacher, elder, or other responsible adult.
Updates
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes, when store or legal requirements change, or when we add or remove data-related features. The updated date above will show when the policy last changed.
